Our friends at the Larkin Company yahoo group sent us a heads-up on a lecture that will take place Saturday, March 25th in Buffalo, New York. The Lecture is titled "Frank Lloyd Wright's Civic Architecture: New Building Types in the 1920s."
It will focus on the Blue Sky Mausoleum project and the Filling Station. Apparently, both projects were originally designed for Buffalo and were not originally constructed. However, with the recent completion of the Mausoleum in Forest Lawn and the soon to-be-built Filling Station in downtown Buffalo, there is renewed interest in exploring the architectural significance of each.
