Found this article at NY Times Online by way of Gapers Block. It's an interesting read and the story of Jim and Molly Perry, Chicago residents in the Lincoln Park neighborhood who tore down a Victorian home to make way for a "modern" home that was still comfortable and warm.
Peep the interior photos included with the article and see what you think. Post a comment to sound off and let us know your thoughts. Could this home be labeled PrairieMod or not?

According to the article, they tore down a Victorian to build the new house.
Other issues aside, that is an astounding (and arrogant) waste of resources.

And it's *7200 square feet*, too. It's not as hideous as it could be, but it's still Yet Another mini-mansion that I'm sure the neighbors just loved to have plopped down next to their houses.
