If you're still looking for the perfect dinnerware to show off your PrairieMod sensibilities, then I would suggest you look no further than Eshelman Pottery. Located in Elizabeth, Illinois near the hilly tourist destination town known as Galena, Paul Eshelman's studio is one of the handful of ceramic studios located in that region. Paul has been making functional stoneware pottery in Elizabeth for the past eleven years and his style is wonderfully sleek, geometric and organic. His glazes are warm and earthy, much like the red clay he uses to make his pottery with. He offers an extensive line of cups, mugs, plates, teapots, platters and other beautifully simple and functional pieces. I'm especially fond of his bottle series featuring a square, a triangle and a circle motif-- I think Mr. Wright would approve. He makes pieces to order, so it's perfect if you're looking for a certain color and quantity. If happen to be in the north-western tip of Illinois, stop by and take a tour of his studio and tell'em PrairieMod sent you!
