The PrairieMod Squad has recently partnered with the good folks behind letsgreenthiscity.com to provide regular content, like hosted articles and an RSS feed. On November 16th, 2006 this website will launch with goals to raise awareness, increase renewable energy usage and educate San Franciscans about conserving energy. These efforts have been initiated by Pacific Gas & Electric. It is also hopeful that this project will be a model for other cities and utility companies across the US and even the globe.
Tonight is the "Green is You" kickoff celebration in San Francisco, but unfortunately all of us PrairieMod Squad members couldn't get an opening in our schedules to send someone out there from our sweet home - Chicago. However, we will keep all the good readers of PrairieMod.com informed as to all things related to this ambitious web project. Perhaps Mayor Daley's team will get word of this and work with ComEd to initiate a similar project.
