I was thumbing through the newest issue of ReadyMade Magazine, when a cool, sustainably made table caught my eye. Constructed out of amber and blonde bamboo, the Hollow End Table by Brave Space is a cool way to take care of storage and counter space demands--all at the same time! I checked out their website to find out a little more about these hip East Coast designers/woodworkers:
Brave Space is a group of three Brooklyn-based designers concentrating on bringing modular, multi-functional objects into the home and office setting. Dedicated to providing quality, high-end furniture that is both playful and modern, the designers at Brave Space draw from a common set of influences ranging from video games to minimalist sculpture. Our hands-on approach to the design and construction of each piece has greatly influenced our material choices and has led us towards the use of materials that are both durable and environmentally sustainable.
Pretty cool stuff! I especially like the cool contortions of the M.C. Escher-esque Folded Shelves that they make. Check out their other products and revel in modular abandon!
