It wont be too long before you see Buffalo, New York top the list of Wright-related tourist destination spots. Why? Well, for starters there's the extensive restoration underway of the Darwin Martin House and Graycliff, the building of a Wright designed filling station and the Yahara Boathouse, the Blue Sky Mausoleum, the Barton and Heath House; not to mention the close proximity of the Larkin sites and the Roycrofter's East Aurora-- it's enough to make your head swim! Mark Hertzberg, fresh from his recent lecture visit, documents the buzz surrounding Buffalo with plenty of written insights and his ever amazing photos--all on his blog, Wright in Racine. We especially like his photos of the inside of the newly reconstructed Pergola (as seen above) at the Martin House! Follow the link to check it out for yourself--who knows, before long you may find yourself shuffling off to Buffalo!

The picture looks beautiful. Do you know if the dark painted cement is going to hold water when the renovation is completed?

We're pretty sure that those dark painted areas will hold water. When it's all done, it will definitely be amazing!
