If you haven't already heard, Calatrava's Chicago Spire design has been approved. It is that much closer to becoming a reality. Gaper's Block has a humorous write up about the approved plan and the Chicago Tribune has a detailed account of the approval with some sweet multimedia presentations to check out.
Now, let's see if they can build this baby!
