Home Depot's New Color Is Green

Picture_1

Usually a trip to Home Depot means you need screws, paint or something that will hopefully save your home remodeling project. Well, you can add saving the world to that list when you visit tomorrow, April 22! In honor of Earth Day, Home Depot stores will be giving away 1,000,000 compact fluorescent bulbs. What does this mean:

• $12 million savings in annual energy costs
• Reduction of 196 million lbs of CO2 emissions
• The CO2 saved is the equivalent of removing 70,000 cars from the road!

You can check out Home Depot's Eco Options web page for the full range of sustainably-minded products that you can find at their stores and for more info on what you can do to help save the planet!
