As stated in a previous post, we thoroughly enjoyed listening to Edward Lifson's (host of Chicago Public Radio's Hello Beautiful) presentation last week at Unity Temple in Oak Park. Mr. Lifson seemed energized by the experience as well and recently posted a follow-up Wright experience on visiting the Coonley Playhouse in Riverside, Illinois. We especially like his insights on the warm and familiar feeling that he experiences when visiting a Wright designed building. We refer to that experience as the "emotional reaction" you get from organic architecture versus the "analytical reaction" you get from International Style architecture.
