I had to share this one with you all....an article we came across from a February 2005 edition of Slate. It's called McMansion meets Soho and is about a trend in the suburbs that I honestly was not remotely even aware of. The closest thing I've seen are the Ovaltine Factory rental apartments in Villa Park, IL (but these are actually real lofts not phony ones). Check out this snippet from the article...
