We thought we'd highlight a few interesting articles about Frank Lloyd Wright. The first is an interview that our friend Mark Hertzberg conducted with Taliesin Fellow, John Geiger. The interview is a fascinating look at someone who spent many years working with Frank Lloyd Wright and the complex relationship that ensued. Mr. Geiger doesn't pull any punches when it comes to describing the ups and downs of life in the Fellowship. We're especially intrigued with what is hinted at as his culminating examination on Wright's work, to be published as a potential book and/or released as a website. We'll keep you updated as more info presents itself.
The second article is about living the legacy at "Samara," the Wright designed Usonian home lovingly maintained by Dr. John Christian in West Lafayette, Indiana. The article is a look at one man's quest to keep the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright's ideas alive 50 years after the home that he commissioned from Wright was built. "Samara" is a gem of a building and all efforts should be made to visit it and experience it first hand. Enjoy!
