Members of the PrairieMod Squad arrived in San Francisco today in preparation for the Dwell on Design Conference (which starts tomorrow morning, bright and early!)
We checked into the city's newest and "greenest" place to stay in town, the Orchard Garden Hotel. It's beautifully modern inside and out and boasts a wide array of eco-minded aspects that make it cutting edge in its sustainability.
We cruised the city a little, catching a bite to eat and checking out a few of the sites. On the way back to our hotel, we realized we'd pass a remarkable piece of architecture.
The V.C. Morris Gift Shop, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1948 and is seen as a precursor in its inner ramp design to the Guggenheim Museum. It was closed when we found it, but being that it's so close to our hotel, we'll be sure to make it back when it's open to hopefully bring you more photos.
San Francisco's a great town, filled with lots of sites and experiences. We're looking forward to the conference events, so make sure to check back with us for a wrap-up of the day's happenings!
