The other night I found myself kicking around the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago with my wife and we ended up a restaurant called Ted's Montana Grill in Bolingbrook, IL (the Ted is for broadcast mogul Ted Turner). It was a first time visit for us and we were immediately surprised to find some wonderful things inside.
The warm, turn-of-the-century interior and the friendly staff made our visit quite enjoyable. During the course of our tasty meal we discovered some other great things about Ted's. For example, their use of eco-friendly straws by Aardvark Straws....made of paper and very usable. Another great treat was discovering the sugar bowls are Heath Ceramic pieces in their Redwood glaze (see photos below)!
Finally, we learned that this fine dining establishment is all about made-from-scratch food and they have a serious commitment to the environment. See the details I lifted from the Ted's Montana Grill website.....
Real food. Real people. Real passion for the environment. At our Classic American Grill, everything is fresh, made from scratch, just as you order it. No freezer. No microwaves. No boil-in-the-bag. No pretense. We use only all-natural beef, bison and chicken. And in keeping with co-founder Ted Turner’s focus on the environment, we are an eco-friendly establishment that is as passionate about the environment as we are about our food. Recyclable paper menus, paper straws and reusable glass are just a few of the industry-leading ways we do our part so you can eat great and do good. Ted’s Montana Grill. Who knew making the world a better place could be so delicious?
I highly suggest a visit to Ted's. So, find the closest location near you after the jump off!
