Marmol Radziner (of prefab fame) have come out with an interesting addition to their line-up of creative offerings: reproduction furniture based on the designs of famous Modernist architect, Rudolph Schindler.
5 different groups are offered: indoor/outdoor, dining, living, bedroom
and Kings Road (based on pieces designed for Schindler's famous

Marmol Radziner Furniture
is pleased to offer the authorized reproduction of furniture designed
by groundbreaking modernist architect, R.M. Schindler. Designed in 1922
for his private residence at 835 North Kings Road in Los Angeles, each
piece is physically and philosophically at one with its spatial
environment.
The raw materials of the Kings Road house and its relationship with the
surrounding landscape served as the perfect atmosphere for the new
concept of living, influenced by the mild climate of Southern
California. All handcrafted using redwood and other quality materials,
the furniture reflects this relaxed attitude with an elegant simplicity
that belies its formal sophistication. The Sling Chair features a
removable sling and cushion of natural canvas. The Sofa and Ottoman
feature cushions in a choice of 28 fabrics. Two silk pillows are
included with the Sofa.
All designs are licensed to Marmol Radziner Furniture through Friends
of hte Schindler House/MAK Center for Art and Archtecture. Significant
proceeds from the sale of this furniture go directly towards the
continued conservation of the Schindler House.
