Frank Lloyd Wright's Samara House: Realization of a Usonian Dream
Exhibit at the Westcott House
Wednesday, February 13th to Sunday, April 20th
This exhibition features the work of America’s most celebrated architect through an exciting collection of drawings depicting many of Wright’s most famous buildings as well as furnishings, textiles and other items designed for Samara, one of the late Usonian style homes by Wright.
The exhibition can be viewed during the regular tours of the Westcott House, Wednesday through Sunday, and also at the Springfield Museum of Art, Tuesday through Sunday, February 13 through March 3, 2008.

In the late 1950s, John and Kay Christian, a young couple from West Lafayette, Indiana, started to toy with the idea of their future dream home. Intrigued by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, they approached him not knowing it would launch them into one of the most fascinating adventures of their life. Join us as we spend time with Dr. John E. Christian and learn about this outstanding example of Usonian architecture.
