A good buddy of mine from college recently got engaged and was sharing some of the wedding plans with me. As Los Angeles residents, they have chosen a fine spot to have the special event: Marvimon on Broadway, near Elysian Park.
Marvimon was originally built by an Italian race car driver in 1924 as one of LA's first automobile showrooms. It has been reinvented as a stand alone, super-loft open to events, exhibitions, productions, and fine living.
The hot spot is also green because it is a renovated 80-year-old building with limited demolition and construction on the original structure. The revamped design reduced the original footprint by 40%. Also, the lumber from the demolition was recycled and used to make the rustic tables and benched throughout Marvimon. Finally, the building's multi-use nature lowers it's environmental footprint - one building performing as three or more: studio, gallery, event space, etc.
