The Fabyan Villa located in Geneva, Illinois is getting a little TLC. Built initially as a summer home for Col. George and Nelle Fabyan, they commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright in 1907 to enlarge and remodel it. As stated in a recent Kane County Chronicle article on the Villa:
Wright changed
the buildings floor plan from an "L" to a cross among other changes. The
house is one of four Wright buildings in Kane County.
The brief article goes on to discuss some of the restoration work in progress and more plans for the future. Check out the article by following the link, and if you're in the Kane County, IL area--check out the building as well!
