Some people just don't get it. Apparently, the owners of the Manus home, which was designed by modernist architect Alfred Browning Parker, want to tear it down and put up a "new British Colonial style residence." As further described in this PalmBeachPost.com article, the house in danger is:
...one of an estimated 6,000 structures by
the post-war architect, who put his stamp on South Florida with angular
architecture, inspired by surrounding landscape and emphasizing
functional style.
I'm not sure there is anything that can be done to save it. Ironically, there are tens of thousands of homes in Florida that probably look like the McMansion these people are planning on building or should be torn down instead of the Manus house.
