CB2 has some more interesting dishes (and place mats) worth a look here.

very good find. I was actually going to buy a more traditional (yet still somewhat mod) set at Crate & Barrel however I went across the street to the cb2 store and found these great dishes. The quality is comparable to what you would find at C&B or Williams Sonoma however they are priced more aggressively.

I recommend them.
