Make your plans now! Here is the official word from the Guggenheim Museum...
May 15 – August 23, 2009
On the occasion of the Guggenheim Museum's 50th anniversary, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation have partnered...
...to develop FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT, an original exhibition which examines
the concept of architecture as integral social structure embedded in
Wright's practice. The exhibition explores Wright's oeuvre as "architecture of democracy" designed to stimulate social engagement within families and communities. Through the presentation of over 50 of Wright's projects, the exhibition will look anew at his sweeping vision for a modern, organic way of living.
Highlighting the Guggenheim's famed spiral as a culmination of the visionary social ideals that defined Wright's 70-year career, FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT will be presented through a range of media including over 200 original drawings and newly commissioned models.
We'll keep everyone posted regarding updates as we receive more info.
