PrairieMod has been following the progress on the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture's pre-fab project known as "Mod.Fab". We've received word that the house is complete and all decked-out with Modern finishes and furniture. So, what do our readers think? Leave your comments and let us know. You can check out the details and pics by following the link.

Looks more Bauhaus than Wright house, but that ok. I like it!

Yawn.
Looks like 98% of every other prefab design that's come out over the last 5 years. Nothing distinctive whatsoever to me.

where is the floor plan?
what is the cost per square foot?
IMHO: slightly better than the usual shoebox-modern pre-fab.

I, too, would like to see a floor plan. I wasn't impressed with the track lighting inside but sure liked the downlights over the outside spaces. The separation of the living spaces by the "breezeway" is kinda cool.

Here's a link to a previous post in our coverage of the Taliesin prefab project which shows a floor plan:

Not sure about cost...will look into that for everyone.

cold design in a wonderfully warm location...pass

The integrated system design is wonderful, but where is the Wright aesthetic? I don't see it or feel it here. The interior finishes are way too industrial for a home. There are so many good, green alternatives, I think they missed some opportunities. Spare is good, sterile isn't.

What a wonderful, perfect jewel of house! My husband just looked at the photos and commented, "It's the size of my car." To which I responded, "We'll get two of them." He shot back, "Make that six."
Which brings us to the question, "Are these to be marketed?" "Soon?"
I rather like the idea of a compound. Perhaps not as many as six, though. So much more civilized than a guest room within earshot.
