PrairieMod reader, Paul R. sent us a link to a series of house designs by architect Nick Noyes in conjunction with Houseplans.com that seem to have a Usonian-inspired lineage. Read more after the jump...
As Nick states on the FLEXAHOUSE website:
"The idea," says, Nick, "is to create a design that's almost a custom home plan because of the many options you can select. The basic elements can be organized into three very different plans. By adding more bedrooms, changing the orientation of the garage, or choosing siding and roofing options you can create still more variations."
There are currently 3 flexible house plans: The "I", the "L" and the "T", feature a grid-based design, have sunscreen trellises, flexible/customized layouts and lots of windows/french doors to let the Outside In.
So could this be a functional model for a contemporary Usonian tradition? Read this article to learn more and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Do you have any plans where the kitchen is around the corner from the living room, not in direct line of sight?
