I had the chance to walk through an absolute gem of a Prairie School home in Oak Park, IL last Sunday: The Mrs. Charles Yerkes House, designed and built by John S. Van Bergen in 1912. It has been immaculately restored and was recently featured in the book Prairie Metropolis by Patrick Cannon. I had the chance to see this home because it was recently put on the market.
