Here's an brief article from the Mississippi Sun Herald about an upcoming fundraising tour by the Gulf Coast Symphony Guild of four local homes and a church in celebration of restoration efforts over the last 5 years. However, this section of the article caught my eye:
Local legend says that famous architect Louis Sullivan, the teacher of Frank Lloyd Wright and a winter visitor to Ocean Springs, worked with the church’s Fortnightly Guild to develop building plans for the church. When Wright came to the architect’s convention here on the Mississippi Coast much later, he suggested that a garden be planted at the church in memory of Louis Sullivan.
So, does the
