Curbed.com reports that an anonymous philanthropist/architecture has recently offered $300 million to any city that hires someone other than Frank Gehry to design and build its main art museum. I guess someone really hates piles of crumpled-looking stainless steel. Read it here.

Ha! This is hilarious. I would cringe every time I ran by his ICA Building on the West Side Highway in Manhattan. HATE it.

Count me in the crumpled metal hater crowd. They look like buildings that drank too much and vomited all over themselves while struggling to stand up straight.

The ICA building is the worst--it looks like a middling office-park complex that's been enveloped in one of those advertising car wraps.
