After posting yesterday about the Claude and Stark-designed Carnegie Library in Rochelle, IL, PrairieMod pal, John Clouse, was kind enough to send some photos of other Claude and Stark libraries he's visited. See all the photos after the jump...

I have appreciated the recent focus on the libraries of
Claude & Stark. Frank Lloyd Wright was commissioned to
build a Carnegie-funded library in Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - 1914. It was never built but Francis Conroy
Sullivan did design a Carnegie library for Pembroke, Ontario. Wright and this Sullivan did collaborate on the Banff Pavillion from the Wasmuth portfolio. The
Pembroke work is plopped on a hill but has all the earmarks of a Prairie work. I have pictures but do not know how best to send them. I believe it is a superior work to those recently printed. The sculptures are by Bock. Wright's hand is evident in all but siting.
