Just when you thought that the drama surrounding the plight of the David and Gladys Wright House in Phoenix, AZ couldn't get worse, the current developer owners have increased the asking price of the home--right in advance of a December 5, 2012 City Council vote that would potentially designate the building a historic landmark and put a freeze on demolition for three years.
Not sure if this is a high-stakes game of legal chicken or just an act of greedy stubbornness to try and stick-it to anyone who cares about saving this house. So much for their claim about caring to find a buyer to save the house. Clench your teeth and see the revised listing here. Needless to say, if greed wins, we all lose. Support the effort to save this architectural wonder here.

Greed is what drives the people that swarm to this site, hoping to own something that was never designed for them.
